Essential oils for Summer

Essential oils for Summer

Summer is here and with it, the heat, UV rays, long trips, excursions, mosquitoes, nights out... Your skin is put to the test!

The solution is not to stay home. It is enough to have the right essential oils to protect your skin during the summer. Gotes gives you recommendations based on your summer profile:

Rosemary essential oil: For those who want to combat orange peel skin.
Helps reduce the appearance of dimples and cellulite, thanks to its draining and decongestant effect. It can be added to a vegetable oil to perform an effective anti-cellulite massage, which must be repeated daily for a cure of at least 15 days before seeing the first results.

Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Niauli essential oils:
The ideal trio for sun lovers.

Lavender: Lavender knows the sun well and produces an essential oil that is incredibly effective against burns and, in particular, the famous sunburn. Lavender essential oil is perfect for hydrating the body after a day at the beach. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory and anti-pain properties. It will put an end to your headaches, also combined with a vegetable oil for a relaxing massage of the temples and forehead.
Ylang Ylang: Ylang ylang essential oil protects the skin after exposure to the first rays of the sun.
Niauli: Niauli essential oil turns your sun-exposed skin into a more tanned tone.

Geranium and Lavender essential oil:
For those who have sweet skin that mosquitoes like.

Mosquitoes are our little enemies of summer. Especially active at the end of the day, they disturb our evenings outdoors. To keep them away as much as possible, without having to use products that are harmful to the environment, Geranium essential oil is ideal. To soothe the bites, we recommend applying a little diluted lavender essential oil.

Thyme essential oil: For those who are afraid of air conditioning.
Temperature fluctuations and air conditioning put a strain on the throat. Thyme essential oil is anti-infective and antibacterial. Therefore, it is very interesting in case of a cold due to air conditioning in summer. Apply it by massaging the throat, diluted in a vegetable oil.

Immortelle essential oil: For athletes.
It accelerates cell regeneration and healing, and is very effective on any hematoma, edema or bruise on the skin. It combats cold feet and hands and is notable for any joint problem such as osteoarthritis, sprains or other traumas.

Lavender and Eucalyptus essential oil: For hiking lovers.
Lavender essential oil is very effective in moisturizing feet when they are too dry and helps blisters disappear. Furthermore, for adventurers, it is very effective on all serious stings such as spider, scorpion, jellyfish...
For mountain hikers, altitude sickness can be extremely unpleasant. Eucalyptus essential oil is decongestant and provides a great breath of air to continue the climb.

Petitgrain and Eucalyptus essential oil: For those sensitive to transport.
So many trips on vacation: trips by car, by bus, by train, by boat or by plane... In the face of repeated nausea, dizziness or altitude sickness, or stress before and during a plane flight, essential oil Petitgrain and Eucalyptus will be your best allies. Petitgrain essential oil calms anxiety related to transportation thanks to its relaxing properties. Finally, Eucalyptus clears the respiratory tract and purifies the air, to recover some oxygen and eliminate reflux.

Rosemary essential oil:
For party animals.
Limit hangovers with Rosemary essential oil. It calms the feeling of dizziness after a night of partying, while relieving typical hangover headaches. Take a cool shower. Add 1 to 2 drops of rosemary essential oil to your shower gel, or massage your head or desired area with a vegetable oil after a shower.

Petitgrain essential oil: For the avid traveler.
After a long flight, it can be difficult to fully recover from jet lag, but your vacation time is precious and numbered. Petitgrain essential oil helps reduce the feeling of fatigue thanks to its stimulating, energizing and balancing properties. Regulates the nervous system and helps you fall asleep. For jetlag under control!
